Convention season is almost upon us, and Tim Jensen and I are currently booked for TWO of them so far. First up:

DAN CON: March 4th 2012 – 10am – 4pm – Orland Park, Il (Southern Suburb of Chicago). The main concept behind Dan Con is to showcase the local comic book talent, comic book shops and local vendors that can be found here in the Chicagoland area.

This will then lead to my favorite Con as of late…

C2E2 2012: April 13 – 15 2012 – N Building McCormick Place in Chicago, Il. Luckily the art of Tim Jensen was good enough to get us into this year’s “Artist Alley!” It’s bittersweet since a lot of fellow Chicago creators didn’t get in, and the event is in our backyard, but hey – we’ll take it! More details to follow, but we hope to be there with Zombie Comedians, The Pond, The Courier (New Comic!), and hopefully The Awakened issue #2!!!

The Awakened has been all packaged up and delivered to Graphicly! What really has me excited, besides reaching a broader audience, is that it will include a SOUNDTRACK featuring THREE different local Chicago Hip Hop artists! They are:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

 I wrote a script for a comic anthology that will be headed your way this winter! I would’ve loved to have posted the script here but, it being horror(ish) and all, it would definitely spoil the ride. I am really looking forward to seeing how it comes out! I REALLY dig the story.

So what’s the anthology all about? Well:

“Dead of Winter is a Comic Anthology in which artists and writers tell a simple story about winter. Whether it’s bleak, horrific or unexplainable.”
