But before you take the class, you should pay the class in full and ask nicely to get the airbrush ahead of time so you don’t embarrass yourself when trying to airbrush for the first time.
Here was my first stab at painting Lazak’Tar.

Long time no post. Sorry, but life’s been… life! So when I first envisioned this site, I thought it would solely be comics focused. That then morphed into including puppets. Now – may as well add SFX creature creations to the list! I blame my creative wandering spirit.
Anyway, in June I signed up for a mask making class with the Kosart Atelier. In addition to meeting awesome people and having a whole new world opened up to me, I came away with Lazak’Tar! Here is how he came together.

All in all the process was awesome and I loved learning all about it. I’m hooked. Going from never touching clay in my life to coming out with Lazak’Tar, I was pretty proud for my first at bat. Can’t wait to make more!
Meinstein will be making his way home to SciTech next week. I loved making him and will be sad to see him go however – he is definitely going to a good place!

He is a 2 man live hand puppet that can also be operated by a solo puppeteer.
